JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — September 23, 2026. Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho has added Applied AI Partners to its list of approved AI companies. The approval followed an IT and security review of three Applied AI tools: Producer IQ, Fine Print IQ, and Debrief IQ. Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance also approved Producer IQ’s Microsoft 365 connection for its agency network, so agents can link Outlook email and calendar without each filing a request.
Applied AI Partners builds AI software for insurance agencies, with a focus on captive agencies. The company grew out of the Marks family’s Farm Bureau Insurance agency in Sandpoint, Idaho, which has been open since 1976.

What it means for Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance agents
- The review is done. Producer IQ, Fine Print IQ, and Debrief IQ went through Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance’s IT and security review. Applied AI Partners is on the company’s list of approved AI companies.
- Your company’s rules still apply. Approving a vendor doesn’t replace anything the home office asks each agent to do before using an AI tool. Finish those steps first. We can help you work through them.
- Outlook is ready to connect. The Microsoft 365 approval was granted once for the whole network. Each agent connects their own mailbox and calendar in Producer IQ settings, and Producer IQ acts only as the agent who signed in.
What the review covered
We asked for the review and gave the security team everything it asked for. From our side, it looked like this:
- August 26–28, 2026. Our security overview, a guide to every Microsoft 365 permission Producer IQ requests, and written answers to the company’s vendor security worksheet.
- August 27. A live walkthrough of Producer IQ, Fine Print IQ, Debrief IQ, and scheduling with Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance’s technical services and security team.
- September 9. The IT review was completed.
- September 11. Producer IQ’s Microsoft 365 permissions were approved for the agency network.
The controls a reviewer checks are the same ones on our security page:
- Two-factor sign-in is required for every user. No setting turns it off.
- Microsoft 365 access is delegated only. Producer IQ acts as the agent who signed in, on that agent’s own mailbox and calendar. Microsoft shows Applied AI Partners as a verified publisher on the approval screen.
- Client data is stored in the U.S. and kept separate for each agency by the database itself, not just by our code.
- Client data is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.
We also say what we haven’t done. Applied AI Partners has not completed its own SOC 2 Type II audit. It’s on our roadmap, and the security page says so.
Why carrier approval should be your first question
Here’s our view: for a captive agent, the first question about any AI tool isn’t what it can do. It’s whether your carrier has approved it.
A captive agent works under one carrier’s contract, with that carrier’s clients. If a tool isn’t approved, the demo doesn’t matter. You can’t put client work into it, so it can’t help you. And the risk of guessing wrong lands on you, not on the vendor.
That’s why we asked for the review instead of working around it. When you look at any AI vendor, including us, ask three things:
- Has my carrier reviewed you, and which of your tools did the review cover?
- What exactly does your email or calendar connection let you read and send?
- What isn’t covered? A vendor that can’t name a gap hasn’t looked.

“The first thing Farm Bureau agents ask us is whether our tools are approved. We didn’t want to work around that question. We asked for the review, gave the security team everything they asked for, and waited for their answer. Now the answer is yes.”
